Terms and Conditions – Travel247
“Travel247″ is the trading name of “Travel247 CC.” and is a South African based travel agency that specializes in booking made in an electronic environment. Travel247 (hereafter T247) acts as an intermediary between the customer and the supplier and provides an online and face to face service enabling the booking of flights, hotels, car hire, packages, and other travel related products.
Travel247 is an independent company working in association with “eTravel”. eTravel is a licensed IATA agency and has accreditation with ASATA.
1. Use of Site
By using the Travel247 website you signify your agreement to be bound to the Terms and Conditions as indicated herein.
This site may be used to view travel information and to make legitimate travel reservations. This site may not be used for making any speculative, false or fraudulent reservation. You may not use this service for any activities which breach any laws of the Republic of South Africa, or any international laws.
2. Booking Acknowledgement
All correspondence will be conducted via email on weekdays during operating hours.
As ticketing time-limits vary from product to product, you will be advised of the time limit by email. T247 accepts no liability for bookings that are cancelled by the supplier or which experience price variation as a result of payment not being received timeously.
T247 relies on information supplied by the airlines and other third parties. While T247 endeavors to provide accurate pricing for air tickets, the total cost may on occasion, through no fault of T247, exclude fuel taxes, insurance surcharges, other miscellaneous airport taxes, paper ticket fees and PTA fees as levied by the airline. Under these conditions, T247 will be required to amend the published price to comply with the airline requirements.
T247 assumes no responsibility for variations to the price displayed.
All bookings must comply with South African government legislation, and in particular, must comply with South African foreign exchange legislation.
3. Delivery Policy
Where ever possible T247 will issue bookings as eTickets. However, where the facility is denied, you may be required to cover the cost of delivering the ticket. The availability of eTicketing and the costs associated with delivery of tickets will be advised by email.
4. Our Responsibility
T247 is limited to facilitating your travel arrangements with the supplier and arranging travel documentation, payments and refunds as applicable. T247 will make every attempt to provide travel products as advertised on the website, but undertakes no responsibility for the unavailability of these products. By instructing T247 to place an order to purchase a travel product, you hereby accept the supplier’s terms and conditions that govern the purchase of the travel product.
T247 does not have direct control over the services provided by the suppliers, and accepts no responsibility for the suppliers inability to provide the service as promised to you. Any complaint about the product must be directed to the supplier and not to T247. In no event will T247 be liable for any loss, damage, injury, delay, claim or any incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to lost profits or savings arising out of, or in any way connected with the use of any display within this site, or any other irregularity whatsoever associated with the purchase of any travel product.
5. Refunds Policy
T247 will provide all reasonable assistance in claiming refunds where they are due to you from a third party supplier of travel products or services. Under no circumstances will T247 be liable for direct, indirect, consequential or incidental damages related thereto, including, but not limited to lost profits, or savings, or damages for disappointment. According to supplier policy, no refunds will be made for no-shows or any unused services
T247 will not be held responsible for tickets lost by a third party, and any charges associated with reissue and resending of documentation will be for your expense.
6. Your Responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring that bookings is made with the correct dates, that the names in the booking are correctly spelled and correspond with the passport spelling thereof, and that you have observed the supplier’s rules and conditions. Day time email addresses must be provided and the onus lies with you to regularly check the email for responses.
It is your responsibility to furnish any additional information required for the travel booking, as indicated by T247.
T247 does not accept any responsibility for any misunderstanding or error whatsoever, in respect of any reservation made on the T247 website or directly with a T247 consultant.
You are solely responsible for the suitability of any travel services which may be purchased, and T247 will not be responsible for any inconvenience caused or expense incurred as a result of any unsuitability of travel services
It is your responsibility to ensure that the traveller is covered by adequate travel insurance for the entire durations of their journey. Travel insurance policies are available for purchase from T247.
6.2 Passport , Visas and Health Requirements
The onus lies with the traveller to ensure that their passport is valid for travel and that they have the necessary visa documentation in order to travel to their international destination of choice, and that they have obtained medical certificates, where required.
Information provided on the website with regards to visa requirements is supplied in good faith, but should be regarded as a guideline only. The visa information is based on requirements for South African passport holders only.
T247 will undertake to assist the traveller in obtaining visas, but under no circumstances will T247 accept any liability, or loss associated with the denial of a visa.
7. Payment Options
T247 will accept payment by electronic transfer of fund, cash deposits or bank guaranteed cheques. All payments will be subject to a clearance period. Credit card payments may be made via online Virtual Card System, or by means of a signed and validated Standard Credit Card Charge Form. Documents are only issued on receipt and clearance of full payment. All transactions will be processed in South African Rands (ZAR).
If a tour booking is cancelled at any time the operators cancelation fee comes into effect immediately. In addition to this Travel247 charge a service fee of ZAR500 for any cancelation of a booking after confirmation of the said booking is sent.
T247 has taken all reasonable care to ensure that the contents of this site are updated regularly and that the information contained herein is correct. Where the information is provided by a third party, T247 is not able to constantly monitor the accuracy of the information, and T247 accepts no liability regarding any vagaries should these occur.
